LaSalle Remembrance Day Ceremony

The Town of LaSalle hosts a Remembrance Day Ceremony annually on November 11 at 11:00 am at LaSalle Cenotaph Park, 5950 Malden Road. The ceremony honours Veterans who have fallen as well as those who continue to serve Canada today.

For those who prefer to take part in the ceremony from home, the service will also be live streamed on the Town of LaSalle YouTube channel on November 11 at 11:00 am, and will remain on YouTube for viewing at any time.

Veteran Pedestrian Crosswalk and Banners – NEW in 2025!

As part of LaSalle’s commitment to honouring those who have served our country, a new commemorative crosswalk on Normandy Street at Cenotaph Park, and new custom veteran banners are proudly on display as a powerful visual tribute to our local heroes.

The banners feature the name and image of a veteran from LaSalle or Township of Sandwich West, connecting our community to its rich history and the individuals who helped shape it. We invite residents and visitors alike to pause, reflect, and appreciate the sacrifices made for our freedoms.

Accessibility

The event provides access to barrier-free restrooms.

The event has accessible parking with paved, level pathways.

Parking is available at the Event Centre by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road. Additional parking spaces are available at the Riverdance building which is a short walk to the Event Centre. Guests can be dropped off at the Event Centre before parking.

Service and support animals are welcome at the event and are permitted in all areas the public would normally be allowed to go. Service and support animals should be on a leash and under the control of their owner or handler at all times. Event staff reserve the right to ask for documentation related to service and support animals.

The event grounds are fully paved and level to ensure ease of access for persons with mobility devices and parents with strollers.
